Great location and charming traditional decor enhance the experience. The evening menu was excellent, with unique dishes like a Wagyu burger, while the breakfast needs improvement, particularly the eggs Benedict lacking flavor. The staff consistently provided excellent service, keeping the atmosphere friendly amidst the busy holiday season.

Had enjoyable stay by another night and the weather was warm. All the employees were attentive and accommodating and smiled at me. The location was unbeatable and brilliant, next to old town. I tried some drinks at bar The Foresters Arms, located 5 minutes walk away. I loved the hotel overall.

Nice looking 'old English' hotel located in a small town.
Bathroom was a bit cramped. Shower head was located to low, couldn't shower properly.

Although the Hotel is badly in need of a refit, (which is due to start in June we were informed), the ground floor restaurants and bar facility were very good and the staff were excellent! I complained about our room as certain things were broken and not functioning we were moved to a much better room without any problems, the dinner menu was very good and very reasonably priced and varied.Unfortunatley, when you have a building that dates from the 15th century it is very difficult to bring it up to date without spoiling the image. This is fading grandeur.
nothing really apart from it requiring a revamp.

The Woolpack is a little hidden treasure. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The food in the restaurant was exceptional in both presentation and to the palette and the following morning the full english breakfast set us up for the day ahead. We stayed in one of the loft rooms which was really nice though the shower made me feel like a giant at 5'8" but do not by any means let that deter you from staying here. The Woolpack is at most a 15 minute drive from Longleat Safari Park. I was up at 6.30am with my camera photographing Beckington and captured some great shots as it is set in a beautiful village. We'll be back.

The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful.
The decor of the room was not what i would expect for the grade of hotel. There were chips in the plaster of the wall, the wallpaper on the ceiling was peeling off and the shelf in the bathroom was on the floor where it had fallen off and not been repaired.

Good position for what I had to do. Adequate room. Very nice evening meal.
Disappointing breakfast, the evening chef was obviously not in. Inadequate provision if one did'nt want full english!

great base for exploring nearby cultural gems and parks
The staff were utterly amazing and so helpful, and I loved that mes amis cafe deli was just a few steps away for a quick bite before heading out to check out the charming catherine hill and the artistic vibe at black swan arts. I recommend this place for single travelers looking for convenience and comfort.

Room was extremely cramped. Facilities poor. Website did not accurately describe amenities. Was told that they understood wasn't up to standard but re-furb was in the offing. Whilst we sympathised, this was not reflected in the price.
